What have you learned?

A water treatment plant takes the place of acres and acres of wetlands.  What some lagoons will do in 3 months, the plant does in a day.  But it's full of finicky and powerful mechanical and electric parts, so it's expensive to maintain.

If you actually want to get off a mailing list, call the folks who take orders.  If they're not working toward quota (they know they're not gonna sell you something), they'll expedite your service.

Moving people is like moving energy.  Finding a whole new source of passion and energy is unhelpful.  You must lead by going where people want to go.  If you want to recycle and your group is only interested in local foods, go with it.

Our story is God returning to us, not us leaving to be with God.  Throughout it, God models a lifestyle of limiting self for the sake of the other.

What are your questions?

Still: What do we do?  We only hear big scary numbers.  I'm not really sure what they mean, and it doesn't seem like anything we do does anything for it.

How do Christians witness to God's new creation if they're preaching doom and gloom?
